We spend our most of time on our Smart ( sometimes not so smart :) ) phones. We interact with our phones by its display or screen, so we have to carefully pick our phone whose display is best. So here are some display types :
TFT
The Thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT LCD) technology. A variant of liquid crystal display (LCD), the technology uses TFT technology to enhance image quality. It offers better image quality and higher resolutions as compared to earlier generation LCD displays. This screen type is not recommended because its of past technology. Screen looks dull and viewing angles are also very bad. So its better to avoid this.
IPS
IPS LCD Stands for In Plane Switching liquid Crystal Display. Its display quality is better and also it uses in smartphhones, nowdays.Viewing angles are good and quality also superb ( display quality also depends on screen resolution or PPI, Full HD is best ). The white color looks very good in IPS displays. So this is good but also look for High resolution display.
AMOLED
AMOLED stands for :Active Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode) technology. It consumes less battery. The best thing is that its colors are very very best and Black color looks stunning and totally black. ( My favourite screen type also). Its improved version is Super Amoled display and its best and consumes less battery also.
Above , I try to give details of displays in very short. And yes, if you thin I forget about Retina display, no I m not. Retina is only IPS display with different name, no unique technology :)
